Abstract
El objetivo de la presente tesis es evaluar la prevalencia de la automedicación con paracetamol en usuarios de las redes sociales - Facebook, Perú. El método en evaluación es de tipo básico, de nivel descriptivo y diseño no experimental, transversal y prospectivo, muestreo probabilístico; en una muestra de 628 usuarios del Facebook, empleando la técnica de encuesta y como instrumento el cuestionario digital. Según los datos sociodemográficos, se obtuvo que el 57% de las personas entre 18 y 22 años se automedica, y el 57% lo hace por presentar signos y síntomas. Los patrones de uso del paracetamol revelaron que el 89% de las personas utilizan el medicamento en tabletas de forma farmacéutica, con una concentración de 500 mg en el 91%. En conclusión, existe una prevalencia de automedicación con paracetamol en los usuarios de las redes sociales -Facebook- del Perú, de un 46% que ha tomado el medicamento algunas veces sin receta, mientras que el 22% nunca ha tomado el medicamento paracetamol sin receta en el último mes.
The objective of this thesis is to evaluate the prevalence of self-medication with paracetamol in users of social networks - Facebook, Peru. The method under evaluation is basic, descriptive and non-experimental design, cross-sectional and prospective, probabilistic sampling; in a sample of 628 Facebook users, using the survey technique and the digital questionnaire as an instrument. According to the sociodemographic data, it was obtained that 57% of people between 18 and 22 years of age self-medicate, and 57% do so because they present signs and symptoms. Patterns of paracetamol use revealed that 89% of people use the drug in pharmaceutical tablets, with a concentration of 500 mg in 91%. In conclusion, there is a prevalence of self-medication with paracetamol among Peruvian users of social networks - Facebook - of 46% who have taken the drug sometimes without prescription, while 22% have never taken the drug paracetamol without prescription in the last month.
