Abstract
The objective is to determine the relationship between parents' knowledge of oral health and their children's dental caries at the Pucará Health Center, Lampa 2025. The descriptive-correlational study included 132 children aged 3 to 5 years and their parents. A survey was administered. Forty-point-nine percent of parents had average knowledge about oral health, and 39.4% had low knowledge. Forty-three point two percent of children had moderate caries. Spearman's analysis showed a negative correlation between parental knowledge and the presence of childhood caries (Rho=−0.394; p=0.000), indicating that greater knowledge is associated with fewer cavities. It is concluded that this relationship is significant and highlights the need to strengthen oral health education to reduce the prevalence of caries.
