Abstract
El siguiente trabajo de investigación tiene por objetivo determinar el conocimiento que tienen los clientes del mercado Yortuque, la Victoria-Chiclayo, sobre el uso terapéutico de la hoja de coca. Como método se utilizó un diseño de estudio tipo descriptivo, transeccional y no experimental, se aplicó el muestreo por conveniencia, y fueron seleccionados 385 personas. La técnica empleada fue desarrollada mediante la encuesta. Los resultados nos dicen que el 46.42 % tienen un conocimiento medio sobre el uso terapéutico de la hoja de coca, mientras que el 30.86% tiene un conocimiento alto y el 22.72 % un conocimiento bajo. En conclusión, el desconocimiento sobre su correcto uso y beneficios superan porcentajes del 50% y existe una marcada variación porcentual del conocimiento de los efectos adversos de su uso
The following research work aims to determine the knowledge that customers of the Yortuque market, La Victoria-Chiclayo, have about the therapeutic use of coca leaf. A descriptive, transectional and non-experimental study design was used as a method, convenience sampling was applied, and 385 people were selected. The technique used was a survey. The results show that 46.42% have medium knowledge about the therapeutic use of coca leaf, while 30.86% have high knowledge and 22.72% have low knowledge. In conclusion, the lack of knowledge about its correct use and benefits exceeds percentages of 50% and there is a marked percentage variation in the knowledge of the adverse effects of its use.
