Abstract
El objetivo fue evaluar la actividad antibacteriana del extracto etanólico de semillas de Annona reticulata L. frente a Salmonella typhimurium.
El estudio fue experimental, prospectivo y transversal, utilizando 1 kg de semillas recolectadas en Cajamarca. Se evidenció la presencia de compuestos fenólicos, flavonoides, taninos y alcaloides. Resultado, el control positivo con gentamicina presentó un halo promedio de 25,33 ± 0,39 mm. Se concluyó que el extracto no presentó actividad antibacteriana detectable bajo las condiciones experimentales empleadas. Los resultados aportan información para futuras investigaciones con otras partes de la planta o métodos de extracción.
The objective was to evaluate the antibacterial activity of the ethanolic extract of Annona reticulata L. seeds against Salmonella typhimurium. The study was experimental, prospective, and cross-sectional, using 1 kg of seeds collected in Cajamarca. The presence of phenolic compounds, flavonoids, tannins, and alkaloids was observed. The positive control with gentamicin showed an average halo of 25.33 ± 0.39 mm. It was concluded that the extract did not exhibit detectable antibacterial activity under the experimental conditions used. The results provide information for future research with other parts of the plant or extraction methods.
