Abstract
El estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar la relación entre el uso de protector solar y el nivel de conocimiento sobre el cuidado de la piel en usuarios de la botica Ahorro Farma en Lima. Se desarrolló como una investigación de tipo básico, con enfoque cuantitativo, nivel descriptivo y diseño no experimental, con una población de 100 usuarios y una muestra de 79 participantes. El 49,4 % de los participantes tenía entre 17 y 18 años y el 72,2 % eran mujeres. El 44,3 % presentó nivel intermedio de conocimiento, el 32,9 % alto y el 22,8 % bajo. Respecto al uso del protector solar, el 48,1 % lo emplea con moderación, el 30,4 % correctamente y el 21,5 % de forma incorrecta. En conclusión, se encontró una relación significativa entre el nivel de conocimiento y el uso del protector solar (p = 0,000 < 0,05), concluyendo que existe una relación significativa entre ambas variables.
The study aimed to analyze the relationship between sunscreen use and the level of knowledge regarding skin care among patrons of the Ahorro Farma pharmacy in Lima. It was conducted as a basic research study utilizing a quantitative approach, a descriptive level, and a non-experimental design, involving a population of 100 patrons and a sample of 79 participants. Of the participants, 49.4% were between 17 and 18 years of age, and 72.2% were female. Regarding their level of knowledge, 44.3% demonstrated an intermediate level, 32.9% a high level, and 22.8% a low level. With respect to sunscreen use, 48.1% used it moderately, 30.4% used it correctly, and 21.5% used it incorrectly. In conclusion, a significant relationship was found between the level of knowledge and sunscreen use (p = 0.000 < 0.05), thereby concluding that a significant relationship exists between these two variables.
