Abstract
El presente estudio tuvo el objetivo de determinar los factores de riesgo sociodemográficos y obstétricos asociados a la MME en un hospital del Callao en el 2018. Metodología: Estudio descriptivo- correlacional, de tipo cuantitativo, con una población y muestra de 381 pacientes. Entre los resultados, se determinó que factores sociodemográficos, como en estado civil, el 60,37% era soltera y su complicación se relacionó con una enfermedad específica. En relación a los factores obstétricos; 67.19% la complicación se presentó durante el embarazo y se asoció en un 82.15% al trastorno hipertensivo. Concluyendo que la mayoría de los factores sociodemográficos y obstétricos no se asocian significativamente a MME
