Abstract
Respecto al método es una investigación de tipo básica y de diseño correlacional. La muestra estuvo conformada por 154 pobladores de la comunidad nativa Shirotiari. Para la recolección de la información se utilizó la técnica de la encuesta aplicada a través de dos instrumentos: cuestionario sobre factores sociodemográficos y sobre conocimiento de la salud bucal. El análisis de los datos se llevó a cabo mediante la estadística descriptiva y la estadística inferencial a través de prueba no paramétrica de Correlación de Spearman. Entre los resultados se evidenció un 53,2% de impacto favorable de los factores sociodemográficos que el nivel de conocimiento en salud bucal es deficiente en un 62,3%. El estudio concluyó en existe relación directa moderada y significativa entre los factores sociodemográficos y el nivel de conocimiento en salud bucal en pobladores de la comunidad nativa
Regarding the method, it is a basic research with a correlational design. The sample consisted of 154 inhabitants of the Shirotiari native community. For the collection of information, the survey technique was used, applied through two instruments: a questionnaire on sociodemographic factors and a questionnaire on knowledge of oral health. The data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics through Spearman's Correlation nonparametric test. The results showed a 53.2% favorable impact of sociodemographic factors and a 62.3% deficient level of oral health knowledge. The study concluded that there is a moderate and significant direct relationship between sociodemographic factors and the level of oral health knowledge in the native community
