Nivel de conocimiento sobre conservación de la insulina en padres de familia, Institución Educativa Politécnico Túpac Amaru, Chilca, Huancayo, 2026

Abstract

El estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre la conservación de la insulina en padres de familia de la I.E. Politécnico Túpac Amaru, Chilca, Huancayo, 2026. Fue de enfoque cuantitativo, nivel descriptivo y diseño no experimental, transversal y univariado. Participaron 177 padres, a quienes se aplicó un cuestionario de 20 ítems, validado por expertos y con confiabilidad KR-20 = 0,819. Los resultados evidenciaron que el 58,8 % presentó conocimiento medio, el 28,2 % bajo y el 13,0 % alto. Se concluyó que predominó el nivel medio, con mayores deficiencias en la manipulación, transporte y duración del envase abierto, destacándose la necesidad de implementar intervenciones educativas farmacéuticas dirigidas a los cuidadores de pacientes insulinodependientes.

The study aimed to determine the level of knowledge about insulin storage among parents of students at the Túpac Amaru Polytechnic School in Chilca, Huancayo, in 2026. It employed a quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and univariate design. A total of 177 parents participated, completing a 20-item questionnaire validated by experts with a KR-20 reliability of 0.819. The results showed that 58.8% of parents demonstrated a medium level of knowledge, 28.2% a low level, and 13.0% a high level. The study concluded that the medium level predominated, with the greatest deficiencies in handling, transport, and the duration of open insulin containers. This highlighted the need to implement pharmaceutical education interventions aimed at caregivers of insulin-dependent patients.
