Abstract
El propósito de la presente investigación fue establecer la relación entre la higiene oral y las enfermedades sistémicas en los pacientes atendidos en la Clínica Estomatológica de la Universidad Privada de Huancayo Franklin Roosevelt. El tipo de investigación fue correlacional, descriptivo transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 92 pacientes atendidos en la Clínica Estomatológica de la Universidad Privada de Huancayo Franklin Roosevelt. 2019. Del total de pacientes, el 47.8% presentaron hipertensión arterial (HTA). Se encontró relación estadística entre el IHO y obesidad. En conclusión, la higiene oral se relaciona con las enfermedades sistémicas en los pacientes de la clínica dental de la Universidad Roosevelt, tales como diabetes mellitus tipo 2 (DM2), hipertensión arterial (HTA) y obesidad.
The purpose of this research was to establish the relationship between oral hygiene and systemic diseases in patients treated at the Stomatology Clinic of the Universidad Privada de Huancayo Franklin Roosevelt. The type of research was correlational, cross-sectional descriptive. The sample consisted of 92 patients seen at the Stomatology Clinic of the Universidad Privada de Huancayo Franklin Roosevelt. 2019. Of the total number of patients, 47.8% presented arterial hypertension (AHT). A statistical relationship was found between OHI and obesity. In conclusion, oral hygiene is related to systemic diseases in patients of the dental clinic of the Roosevelt University, such as type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2), arterial hypertension (AHT) and obesity.
