Abstract
El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo general determinar la relación que existe entre el índice de caries de infancia temprana y los hábitos alimenticios en preescolares del Programa “Wasi Mikuna” de la I.E. Ricardo Palma del distrito de Pichanaqui, provincia de Chanchamayo, región Junín en el año 2025. Método: fue una investigación básica, de enfoque cuantitativo, de diseño no experimental, correlacional y transversal, cuya muestra obtenida a través de muestreo estratificado estuvo conformada por 84 niños preescolares, con edades comprendidas entre 3 y 5 años. Resultados: se halló que el índice de caries ceo-D fue de 7.02 (muy alta) y que el tipo de hábitos alimenticios fue “inadecuado” en un 78.6% y “adecuado” 21.4%. Conclusión, se determinó que existe una relación inversa moderada entre el índice de caries de infancia temprana y los hábitos alimenticios en preescolares del Programa “Wasi Mikuna” de la I.E. Ricardo Palma del distrito de Pichanaqui. (Rho Spearman = -0.311 y p-valor = 0,004 < 0,05.
The general objective of this research was to determine the relationship between the early childhood caries index and the eating habits of preschool children in the "Wasi Mikuna" Program at the Ricardo Palma School in the district of Pichanaqui, province of Chanchamayo, Junín region, in 2025.
