Abstract
El objetivo del estudio fue demostrar la actividad repelente de una loción elaborada a base de extractos fluidos de Eucalyptus globulus (eucalipto) y Schinus molle (molle). Para la determinación del efecto repelente se utilizaron 10 discos a los que se les aplico la loción al 10% y 20% y expuso al acercamiento de los zancudos a 1, 2, 3 y 4 horas. Los resultados demostraron que el extracto fluido de Eucalyptus globulus (eucalipto) y Schinus molle (molle) al 20% tubo un porcentaje de repelencia de grado IV, la loción al 10 % tuvo un porcentaje de grado III, sin embargo el control positivo tuvo mayor efecto repelente alcanzando el grado V de efecto repelente. Se concluye que extractos fluidos de Eucalyptus globulus (eucalipto) y Schinus molle (molle) al 10% y 20% tienen un elevado efecto repelente
The objective of the study was to demonstrate the repellent activity of a lotion made from fluid extracts of Eucalyptus globulus (eucalyptus) and Schinus molle (molle). To determine the repellent effect, 10 discs were used to which the lotion was applied at 10% and 20% and exposed to the approach of mosquitoes at 1, 2, 3 and 4 hours. The results showed that the fluid extract of Eucalyptus globulus (eucalyptus) and Schinus molle (molle) at 20% had a repellent percentage of grade IV, the lotion at 10% had a percentage of grade III, however the positive control had a greater repellent effect reaching grade V repellent effect. It is concluded that fluid extracts of Eucalyptus globulus (eucalyptus) and Schinus molle (molle) at 10% and 20% have a high repellent effect
