Abstract
El objetivo general es determinar los condicionantes obstétricos y fetales relacionados al bajo peso del recién nacido en el Hospital Carlos Monge Medrano, 2022. Como método, esta investigación fue de tipo básica, con enfoque cuantitativo. A su vez retrospectivo, observacional, y de corte transversal. El nivel será correlacional. El diseño de investigación fue no experimental, la muestra fue de 246 historias clínicas y la técnica fue análisis documental. Como resultado, según la prueba de Chi-cuadrado resultó 0.001, por lo que la prueba es significativa y aceptamos la hipótesis alterna. En conclusión, se determinó que los condicionantes obstétricos y fetales están relacionados significativamente al bajo peso del recién nacido.
The general objective is to determine the obstetric and fetal determinants related to low birth weight at the Carlos Monge Medrano Hospital, 2022. As a method, this was a basic research, with a quantitative approach. It was retrospective, observational, and cross-sectional. The level will be correlational. The research design was non-experimental, the sample was 246 medical records and the technique was documentary analysis. As a result, according to the Chi-square test, the result was 0.001, so the test is significant and we accept the alternative hypothesis. In conclusion, it was determined that obstetric and fetal conditions are significantly related to low birth weight.
