Abstract
La investigación tiene el siguiente objetivo determinar la prevalencia de parasitosis intestinal y desnutrición en niños que acuden al Centro de Salud Santa Rosa de Ocopa, departamento de Junín 2023. El tipo de investigación es observacional, descriptivo, y de corte transversal; con una muestra de 52 historias clínicas seleccionadas al azar de los niños menores de 5 años de edad. Los resultados muestran que el 92,3% presenta parasitosis, mientras que evidentemente, el 7,7% restante no lo tiene. El 59,6% de ellos presenta desnutrición. El 64,6% de los niños que presentan parasitosis, también padecen de desnutrición; por otro lado. En conclusión, el estudio revela una prevalencia alarmante de parasitosis intestinal entre los niños evaluados, con un 92,3% de los casos presentando esta condición y 59,6% que presentan desnutrición.
The objective of the research is to determine the prevalence of intestinal parasitosis and malnutrition in children attending the Santa Rosa de Ocopa Health Center, department of Junín 2023. The type of research is observational, descriptive, and cross-sectional; with a sample of 52 randomly selected medical records of children under 5 years of age. The results show that 92.3% present parasitosis, while the remaining 7.7% evidently do not have parasitosis. Malnutrition was present in 59.6% of them. On the other hand, 64.6% of the children with parasitosis also suffer from malnutrition. In conclusion, the study reveals an alarming prevalence of intestinal parasitosis among the children evaluated, with 92.3% of the cases presenting this condition and 59.6% presenting malnutrition.
