Abstract
La investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar el nivel de conocimiento y cumplimiento de la terapia en pacientes adultos mayores atendidos en el Hospital Militar Central, Lima 2023. El estudio adopta el método científico, enfoque cuantitativo, tipo descriptivo, diseño no experimental, la muestra estuvo conformada por 88 personas. Los resultados en cuanto al incumplimiento de la terapia fueron el consumo de los medicamentos (38%), preocupación de los efectos secundarios (34%) y la prolongación del tratamiento (28%). Se concluyó que el nivel de conocimiento sobre el cumplimiento de la terapia farmacológica en el 49% de los adultos mayores fue deficiente, mientras que el nivel de cumplimiento en el 44% fue regular.
The objective of the research was to determine the level of knowledge and compliance with therapy in elderly patients treated at the Hospital Militar Central, Lima 2023. The study adopts the scientific method, quantitative approach, descriptive type, non-experimental design, the sample consisted of 88 people. The results regarding non-compliance with therapy were the consumption of medications (38%), concern about side effects (34%) and prolongation of treatment (28%). It was concluded that the level of knowledge about drug therapy compliance in 49% of the older adults was poor, while the level of compliance in 44% was fair.
