Abstract
Este proyecto fue evaluar la Caracterización y prevalencia de las infecciones del tracto urinario en mujeres atendidas en el Hospital de Huaycán de Lima, 2020, siendo la metodología descriptivo observacional, transversal y retrospectivo, en una muestra de 144 mujeres con diagnóstico de ITU. Resultados, la prevalencia fue de 15,06%; en mujeres adultas jóvenes, primíparas, en su mayoría presentaron síndrome febril como característica clínica más recurrente, se identificó la E. Coli como agente microbiológico predominante; concluyéndose, que las pacientes con ITU conforman un grupo importante y reúnen características determinantes las cuales pueden ayudar a brindar soluciones de prevención y tratamientos posteriores
This project was to evaluate the characterization and prevalence of urinary tract infections in women treated at the Huaycán Hospital in Lima, 2020, with a descriptive, observational, cross-sectional and retrospective methodology, in a sample of 144 women diagnosed with UTI. Results, the prevalence was 15.06%; in young adult women, primiparous, most of them presented febrile syndrome as the most recurrent clinical characteristic. Coli was identified as the predominant microbiological agent; it was concluded that patients with UTI are an important group and have determining characteristics which can help to provide prevention solutions and subsequent treatment
