Manipulación de plaguicidas y efecto en la salud de agricultores del Grupo de Riego Miraflores Sur del distrito de Aucallama, Huaral – Lima 2022

Abstract

El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar la relación que existe entre la manipulación de plaguicidas y el efecto en la salud de agricultores del grupo de riego Miraflores Sur del distrito de Aucallama, Huaral – Lima 2022. El tipo de investigación básica, observacional, prospectivo y transversal, nivel correlacional y diseño no experimental. La población estuvo conformada por agricultores del grupo de riego Miraflores Sur del distrito de Aucallama; se contó con una muestra de 155 usuarios. La técnica aplicada fue la encuesta y el instrumento utilizado fue un cuestionario con 30 preguntas. Como resultado respecto a la manipulación de plaguicidas por parte de los agricultores la gran mayoría (95%) conoce los plaguicidas y el 89% tiene conocimiento que pueden causar intoxicación incluso la muerte por su inadecuado manejo y dosificación; sin embargo, existe falta de sensibilización acerca de los riesgos que implica su tratamiento inadecuado aunada a la ausencia de oportunidades laborales en otros rubros y a la informalidad bajo la cual son contratados los agricultores. En conclusión, existe relación directa entre la manipulación de plaguicidas y el efecto en la salud de agricultores del grupo de riego Miraflores Sur, es decir a mayor manipulación de plaguicidas mayores serán los efectos nocivos en la salud de los usuarios.

The objective of the research was to determine the relationship between the handling of pesticides and the effect on the health of farmers in the Miraflores Sur irrigation group in the district of Aucallama, Huaral - Lima 2022. The type of basic research, observational, prospective and cross-sectional, correlational level and non-experimental design. The population consisted of farmers from the Miraflores Sur irrigation group in the district of Aucallama; there was a sample of 155 users. The applied technique was the survey and the instrument used was a questionnaire with 30 questions. As a result, with respect to the handling of pesticides by farmers, the vast majority (95%) know about pesticides and 89% are aware that they can cause intoxication or even death due to improper handling and dosage; however, there is a lack of awareness about the risks involved in their improper treatment, combined with the lack of job opportunities in other areas and the informality under which farmers are hired. In conclusion, there is a direct relationship between the handling of pesticides and the effect on the health of farmers in the Miraflores Sur irrigation group, i.e., the greater the handling of pesticides, the greater the harmful effects on the health of users.
