Prevalencia de la ubicación del agujero mentoniano en radiografías panorámicas del Centro Radiológico Vibell 3d, Lima 2022

Abstract

El objetivo es determinar la prevalencia de la ubicación del agujero mentoniano en radiografías panorámicas del centro radiográfico Vibell 3D, Lima 2022. El estudio fue de tipo descriptivo, transversal, observacional y retrospectivo. La muestra estuvo conformada por 132 radiografías panorámicas. La ubicación más prevalente en el plano horizontal es con un 53% y 47 % en ambos lados. En los del sexo masculino se encontró que el plano vertical la ubicación más prevalente fue la posición E en ambos lados derecho e izquierdo con un 50% y 47.8%, Según el grupo etario, de 15 – 25 años que presentaron la posición C en ambos lados derecho e izquierdo con un 44,9% y un 46.2% respectivamente. Se concluye que la posición con mayor prevalencia en el centro radiológico Vibell 3D es la posición 4 y la posición E de la muestra de estudio evaluada.

The objective was to determine the prevalence of the location of the mentonian foramen in panoramic radiographs of the Vibell 3D radiographic center, Lima 2022. The study was descriptive, cross-sectional, observational and retrospective. The sample consisted of 132 panoramic radiographs. The most prevalent location was in the horizontal plane with 53% and 47% on both sides. In males, the most prevalent position in the vertical plane was position E in both right and left sides with 50% and 47.8%. According to the age group, 15-25 years old, position C in both right and left sides with 44.9% and 46.2% respectively. It is concluded that the position with the highest prevalence in the Vibell 3D radiological center is position 4 and position E of the study sample evaluated.
