Conocimiento y Uso del Anticonceptivo Oral de Emergencia en Estudiantes Universitarios Ingresantes.

Abstract

El objetivo de la investigación es evaluar el promedio del nivel de conocimiento y uso del anticonceptivo oral de emergencia en estudiantes ingresantes. El método de estudio fue de nivel descriptivo y diseño no experimental, transversal y prospectivo, la muestra conformada por 243 universitarios ingresantes, empleándose la técnica de encuesta y como instrumento un cuestionario. Los resultados indican que Predomina la edad de 18 a 20 años en el 37%, sexo femenino 82%, el 34% conoce sobre el uso del anticonceptivo oral de emergencia; siendo en cambio de nivel medio con un 70% al responder que la técnica anticonceptiva oral de emergencia es importante para evitar el embarazo, 86 % ven la posibilidad de embarazo si tienen relaciones sexuales sin protección. Concluyendo que el nivel de conocimiento es medio con un 70% sobre el anticonceptivo oral de emergencia.

The objective of the research is to evaluate the average level of knowledge and use of emergency oral contraception in entering students. The study method was descriptive and non-experimental, cross-sectional and prospective design, the sample consisted of 243 university students, using the survey technique and a questionnaire as an instrument. The results indicate that 37% of the respondents were between 18 and 20 years of age, 82% were female, 34% knew about the use of emergency oral contraceptive; while 70% of the respondents were of medium level when answering that the emergency oral contraceptive technique is important to avoid pregnancy, 86% saw the possibility of pregnancy if they had unprotected sex. In conclusion, the level of knowledge of the emergency oral contraceptive is medium with 70%.
