Intervención educativa a pacientes con VIH para optimizar la adherencia al tratamiento antirretroviral en el Hospital Militar Central.

Abstract

La presente investigación tiene por objetivo determinar el efecto de una intervención educativa a pacientes con VIH para mejorar la adherencia al tratamiento antirretroviral en el Hospital Militar Central. El método es cuantitativa, prospectiva, longitudinal no experimental y longitudinal, la muestra lo constituyeron 79 pacientes con VIH. En los resultados se destaca que el 88,6% son del sexo masculino, entre 23 a 30 años y son solteros, la vía de transmisión predominante es la vía sexual con un 96,2% ,se determinó que el 49,4% se encuentra entre un 65 a 84% de adherencia al tratamiento posicionándose en un nivel C. después de la intervención educativa a pacientes con VIH se determinó que el 89,9% se encuentra entre un 95 a 100% de adherencia al tratamiento posicionándose en un nivel A. En conclusión, se comprobó que fue efectiva la intervención educativa en la adherencia al tratamiento antirretroviral.

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of an educational intervention for HIV patients to improve adherence to antiretroviral treatment at the Central Military Hospital. The method is quantitative, prospective, longitudinal, non-experimental and longitudinal, the sample consisted of 79 patients with HIV. The results show that 88.6% are male, between 23 and 30 years old and are single, the predominant route of transmission is the sexual route with 96.2%, it was determined that 49.4% are between 65 and 84% adherence to treatment, positioning themselves in a C level. After the educational intervention for HIV patients, 89.9% were found to be between 95 to 100% adherent to treatment, placing them at level A. In conclusion, it was found that the educational intervention was effective in terms of adherence to antiretroviral treatment.
