Conocimiento y prácticas preventivas sobre infecciones respiratorias agudas en madres del Centro de Salud La Libertad, Huancayo 2023.

Abstract

El objetivo fue determinar la relación entre el conocimiento y las prácticas preventivas en madres de niños menores de 5 años del Centro de Salud La Libertad, Huancayo, durante el año 2023.Método fue un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo básico, con un diseño no experimental, correlacional y transversal; en una muestra de 90 participantes. Se evidenció que el 56,3% de las madres tenían un nivel alto de conocimiento sobre las IRAs, mientras que el 43,8% un nivel alto. En cuanto a las prácticas preventivas, se observó que el 54.7% presentó prácticas regulares, el 26.6% buenas y el 18,8% malas. En conclusión, existe una relación significativa (p = 0.000) entre el conocimiento y las prácticas preventivas de las madres frente a las infecciones respiratorias agudas, con una correlación positiva moderada (rho = 6.627).

The objective was to determine the relationship between knowledge and preventive practices in mothers of children under 5 years of age at the La Libertad Health Center, Huancayo, during the year 2023.Method was a quantitative approach, basic type, with a non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional design; in a sample of 90 participants. It was evidenced that 56.3% of the mothers had a high level of knowledge about ARIs, while 43.8% a high level. Regarding preventive practices, it was observed that 54.7% presented regular practices, 26.6% good and 18.8% bad. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship (p = 0.000) between knowledge and preventive practices of mothers regarding ARIs, with a moderate positive correlation (rho = 6.627).
