Conocimiento sobre salud bucal y grado de gingivitis de los alumnos de la Institución Educativa San Antonio de Julo Ayacucho 2024

Abstract

Objetivo general identificar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal y el grado de gingivitis de los alumnos de la Institución Educativa San Antonio de Julo Ayacucho 2024. El estudio fue de tipo básica, relacional, transversal y prospectivo. La muestra fue de 133 alumnos. La técnica fue el índice de Silness y Loe y el cuestionario de nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal. Los resultados fueron que existe una relación entre el nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal y el grado de gingivitis con un valor de p de 0,000, en cuanto al nivel de conocimiento el 43,6% de los alumnos tuvo nivel de conocimiento insuficiente, en cuanto al grado de gingivitis el 41,4% de los alumnos no presentó inflamación gingival, por lo que se concluye que existe relación entre ambas variables con un valor de p de 0,000.

General objective: To identify the relationship between the level of knowledge about oral health and the degree of gingivitis in students of the San Antonio de Julo Ayacucho Educational Institution 2024. The study was basic, relational, cross-sectional and prospective. The sample consisted of 133 students. The technique used was the Silness and Loe index and the oral health knowledge level questionnaire. The results were that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge about oral health and the degree of gingivitis with a p value of 0.000, regarding the level of knowledge 43.6% of the students had insufficient level of knowledge, regarding the degree of gingivitis 41.4% of the students did not present gingival inflammation, so it is concluded that there is a relationship between both variables with a p value of 0.000.
