Conocimiento sobre higiene bucal relacionado con el índice de caries en soldados de la Compañía Comando Nº 2 de Ayacucho en el contexto de pandemia

Abstract

La presente investigación, se intencionó con el objetivo de determinar la relación que existe entre la higiene bucal y el índice de caries, en soldados de la Compañía Comando N°2 de Ayacucho en el contexto de pandemia. El estudio responde esencialmente al enfoque cuantitativo, de diseño descriptivo correlacional. La muestra seleccionada se conformó por 80 soldados de la compañía comando N°2 de Ayacucho, a los cuales se les aplicó el cuestionario, para medir el nivel de conocimiento sobre la higiene bucal y el índice CPO-D para medir el índice de caries. Los resultados arrojaron que si existe relación inversa y baja entre la higiene bucal y el índice de caries. En él estudio se escoge la prueba de rho de Spearman por ser correlacional y tener el instrumento en la escala ordinal, se tiene que rs = - 0,373 se encuentra en correlación baja. De manera conclusiva se asevera, que si existe relación inversa baja y significativa entre la higiene bucal y el índice de caries en soldados de la Compañía Comando Nº 2 de Ayacucho en el contexto pandemia

The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between oral hygiene and the caries index in soldiers of the Command Company No. 2 of Ayacucho in the context of a pandemic. The study responds essentially to the quantitative approach, with a descriptive correlational design. The selected sample consisted of 80 soldiers of the Command Company N°2 of Ayacucho, to whom the questionnaire was applied to measure the level of knowledge about oral hygiene and the CPO-D index to measure the caries index. The results showed that there is an inverse and low relationship between oral hygiene and caries index. In this study the Spearman's rho test was chosen for being correlational and having the instrument in the ordinal scale, it is found that rs = - 0.373 is in low correlation. In conclusion, it is asserted that there is a low and significant inverse relationship between oral hygiene and the caries index in soldiers of the Command Company No. 2 of Ayacucho in the context of the pandemic
