Abstract
La investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre el consumo de productos procesados y el estado nutricional en escolares de la Institución Educativa N.° 30179 María Auxiliadora, 3 de diciembre – Chupaca, 2025. Metodología: El estudio fue de tipo básico, diseño no experimental, corte transversal y correlacional. La muestra estuvo conformada por 108 escolares de 6 a 11 años; la técnica utilizada para el consumo de productos procesados fue la encuesta y un cuestionario como instrumento, mientras que para el estado nutricional se empleó la medición antropométrica. Resultados: el 63,89 % (69) presentó un consumo regular de productos procesados y el 31,11 % (39) un consumo bajo; respecto al IMC, el 70,37 % (76) presentó estado normal, el 20,37 % (22) sobrepeso, el 6,48 % (7) delgadez y el 2,78 % (3) obesidad. En cuanto a talla para la edad, el 85,19 % (92) presentó talla normal. Conclusión: no existe relación significativa entre el consumo de productos procesados y el estado nutricional de los escolares (p > 0,05).
The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between the consumption of processed products and nutritional status among schoolchildren at the María Auxiliadora Educational Institution (No. 30179) in 3 de Diciembre, Chupaca, in 2025. Methodology: The study was basic, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational in design. The sample consisted of 108 schoolchildren aged 6 to 11; a survey using a questionnaire was the technique and instrument employed to assess processed product consumption, while anthropometric measurements were used to assess nutritional status. Results: 63.89% (69) showed moderate consumption of processed products, and 31.11% (39) showed low consumption; regarding BMI, 70.37% (76) were within the normal range, 20.37% (22) were overweight, 6.48% (7) were underweight, and 2.78% (3) were obese. Regarding height-for-age, 85.19% (92) presented normal height. Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between the consumption of processed products and the nutritional status of the schoolchildren (p > 0.05).
