Abstract
El objetivo fue determinar la prevalencia del uso de AINEs en adultos del centro poblado de Caracoto, Puno-2025. La investigación fue de tipo aplicada, enfoque cuantitativo, nivel descriptivo, diseño no experimental y corte transversal. La población estuvo conformada por 500 adultos y la muestra por 218 participantes. Los resultados mostraron predominio del grupo de 18 a 29 años (28,4 %), género femenino (67,0 %) e instrucción secundaria (44,0 %). El 38,5 % consumía AINEs una vez al mes, principalmente por cefalea (43,1 %) y durante 2 a 3 días (86,7 %). El 88,2 % los adquirió sin receta médica y el 57,5 % en farmacias. Se concluye que la prevalencia del uso de AINEs fue de 70,2 %, constituyendo una problemática de salud pública por el riesgo de uso inadecuado.
The objective was to determine the prevalence of NSAID use among adults in the town of Caracoto, Puno (2025). The study was applied research with a quantitative approach, descriptive level, non-experimental design, and a cross-sectional nature. The population consisted of 500 adults, and the sample comprised 218 participants. Results showed a predominance of the 18–29 age group (28.4%), females (67.0%), and individuals with a secondary education (44.0%). Regarding usage, 38.5% consumed NSAIDs once a month—primarily for headaches (43.1%)—for a duration of 2 to 3 days (86.7%). Furthermore, 88.2% obtained the medication without a prescription, and 57.5% purchased it at pharmacies. It is concluded that the prevalence of NSAID use was 70.2%, representing a public health issue due to the risk of inappropriate use.
