Abstract
La investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar el efecto antiulceroso del extracto hidroalcohólico de hojas de Geranium ruizii Hieron “Pasuchaca” en ratas albinas. Se realizó un estudio aplicado, experimental, prospectivo y transversal, utilizando como muestra 500 g de hojas y 18 ratas albinas distribuidas en seis grupos. Las úlceras gástricas fueron inducidas con etanol al 96 %. Los resultados mostraron que las dosis de 100, 200 y 400 mg/kg presentaron inhibiciones de 27,50 %, 47,50 % y 57,50 %, respectivamente, evidenciándose diferencias significativas mediante ANOVA (p < 0,001). Se concluyó que el extracto hidroalcohólico posee efecto antiulceroso, siendo la dosis de 400 mg/kg la más eficaz.
The study aimed to evaluate the anti-ulcer effect of the hydroalcoholic extract of *Geranium ruizii* Hieron ("Pasuchaca") leaves in albino rats. An applied, experimental, prospective, and cross-sectional study was conducted using a sample of 500 g of leaves and 18 albino rats distributed into six groups. Gastric ulcers were induced using 96% ethanol. The results showed that doses of 100, 200, and 400 mg/kg yielded inhibition rates of 27.50%, 47.50%, and 57.50%, respectively, with significant differences demonstrated via ANOVA (p < 0.001). It was concluded that the hydroalcoholic extract possesses an anti-ulcer effect, with the 400 mg/kg dose being the most effective.
