Abstract
La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar el efecto cicatrizante del gel elaborado con extracto etanólico de la corteza de Handroanthus serratifolius (Vahl) S.O. Grose “Tahuari” en ratones albinos. El estudio fue aplicado, cuantitativo, experimental y prospectivo, con una muestra de 250 g de corteza y 24 ratones distribuidos en seis grupos experimentales. Se realizó el tamizaje fitoquímico y la evaluación de la resistencia a la tensión, encontrándose compuestos fenólicos, flavonoides, taninos y triterpenoides, además de diferencias significativas entre los grupos (p=0,000). Se concluyó que el gel presentó efecto cicatrizante, siendo la concentración al 10 % la de mayor actividad entre las formulaciones, aunque inferior al control positivo.
The objective of this research was to determine the wound-healing effect of a gel formulated with an ethanolic extract of *Handroanthus serratifolius* (Vahl) S.O. Grose ("Tahuari") bark in albino mice. The study was applied, quantitative, experimental, and prospective in nature, utilizing a sample of 250 g of bark and 24 mice distributed across six experimental groups. Phytochemical screening and tensile strength evaluation were conducted; phenolic compounds, flavonoids, tannins, and triterpenoids were detected, and significant differences were observed among the groups (p=0.000). It was concluded that the gel exhibited a wound-healing effect, with the 10% concentration showing the highest activity among the formulations, although this was lower than that of the positive control.
