Abstract
La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar la actividad antiulcerosa del extracto hidroalcohólico de hojas de Eryngium foetidum L. (“sacha culantro”) en ratones albinos con lesión gástrica inducida. El estudio fue aplicado, cuantitativo, experimental, preclínico in vivo y explicativo, con 30 ratones distribuidos en seis grupos. Se evaluaron el índice ulceroso, lesiones, pH gástrico, porcentaje de inhibición y tamizaje fitoquímico. Los resultados mostraron una reducción dosis-dependiente del daño gástrico, alcanzando 72,41 % de inhibición a 200 mg/kg, con diferencias significativas (p=0,000). Se concluyó que el extracto presentó actividad antiulcerosa, destacando la dosis de 200 mg/kg, comparable al sucralfato.
This study aimed to evaluate the anti-ulcer activity of the hydroalcoholic extract of *Eryngium foetidum* L. (“sacha culantro”) leaves in albino mice with induced gastric lesions. It was an applied, quantitative, experimental, preclinical *in vivo*, and explanatory study involving 30 mice distributed into six groups. The ulcer index, lesions, gastric pH, percentage of inhibition, and phytochemical profile were evaluated. The results showed a dose-dependent reduction in gastric damage, reaching 72.41% inhibition at a dose of 200 mg/kg, with significant differences (p=0.000). It was concluded that the extract exhibited anti-ulcer activity, with the 200 mg/kg dose proving particularly notable and comparable to sucralfate.
