Abstract
The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge regarding antibiotics and self-medication with these drugs among customers of a private pharmacy in Chachapoyas during 2026. A quantitative, correlational, non-experimental, cross-sectional study was conducted. The sample consisted of 259 customers aged 18 and older. A survey was used as the data collection method. The results showed no statistically significant relationship between the level of knowledge and self-medication (χ² = 2.233; df = 2; p = 0.327; Cramer's V = 0.093). It was concluded that the level of knowledge regarding antibiotics was not significantly related to the practice of self-medication among the customers evaluated.
