Abstract
The study determined the relationship between knowledge and attitudes regarding carious lesions and vertical transmission among 102 pregnant women at the Hualmay Health Center in 2026. The study was quantitative, correlational, non-experimental, and cross-sectional, utilizing non-probability convenience sampling. Questionnaires assessing knowledge and attitudes—the validity and reliability of which had been previously evaluated—were administered. 65.7% of the pregnant women demonstrated a moderate level of knowledge, followed by low (23.5%) and high (10.8%) levels. Regarding attitudes, indifference predominated (52.9%), followed by positive (32.4%) and negative (14.7%) attitudes.
