Abstract
The research aimed to determine the relationship between polypharmacy and adherence to treatment with NSAIDs among chronic patients in Huancayo in 2026. A quantitative, descriptive-correlational study was conducted, using a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 215 patients drawn from a population of 485. Surveys and the Morisky-Green-Levine test were used to assess both variables. The results showed that 70.2% of participants obtained medications without a medical prescription, and that therapeutic adherence was 52.32%. Pearson’s chi-squared test yielded a p-value of 0.145. It was concluded that there is no statistically significant relationship between polypharmacy and adherence to treatment with NSAIDs among the patients evaluated.
