Abstract
La investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre antibioticoterapia en estudiantes de las Clínicas Estomatológicas I y II de la Universidad Roosevelt de Huancayo. Se realizó un estudio básico, con enfoque cuantitativo y diseño descriptivo correlacional. La muestra estuvo conformada por 50 estudiantes de ambas clínicas. Los resultados mostraron que el 59.3% de la Clínica II y el 47.8% de la Clínica I identificó correctamente que los antibióticos betalactámicos inhiben la síntesis de la pared celular, Sin embargo, una proporción considerable confundió otros mecanismos como la inhibición de ácidos nucleicos o la actividad ribosomal. Más del 55% identificó a los macrólidos como una clase principal de antibióticos. Se concluye que el nivel de conocimiento es moderado, con ligera superioridad en los estudiantes de la Clínica II.

The results showed that 59.3% of Clinic II and 47.8% of Clinic I correctly identified that beta-lactam antibiotics inhibit cell wall synthesis. However, a considerable proportion confused other mechanisms such as nucleic acid inhibition or ribosomal activity. More than 55% identified macrolides as a major class of antibiotics. It is concluded that the level of knowledge is moderate, with a slight superiority among students from Clinic II.
