Abstract
El trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación que existe entre la higiene oral y la autopercepción periodontal de pobladores adultos del Centro de Salud I-3 de Coata, distrito de Puno, región Puno 2024. La metodología fue de tipo básico, de diseño observacional y correlacional. La muestra estuvo constituida por 309 pacientes. Los resultados sobre higiene oral la mayoría presentó un nivel malo con un 58.6% y regular en un 41.2% y en cuanto a la autopercepción periodontal la mayoría es decir el 80.3% no percibió presencia de enfermedad periodontal y el 19.7% sí percibió. En conclusión, existe relación inversa y moderada entre higiene oral y autopercepción periodontal en pobladores adultos del Centro de Salud I-3 de Coata, distrito de Puno, región Puno 2024 (Rho Spearman = -0.520; p- valor 0.000 < 0.05).
