Higiene oral y autopercepción periodontal de pobladores adultos del Centro de Salud Coata Departamento de Puno.

Abstract

El trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación que existe entre la higiene oral y la autopercepción periodontal de pobladores adultos del Centro de Salud I-3 de Coata, distrito de Puno, región Puno 2024. La metodología fue de tipo básico, de diseño observacional y correlacional. La muestra estuvo constituida por 309 pacientes. Los resultados sobre higiene oral la mayoría presentó un nivel malo con un 58.6% y regular en un 41.2% y en cuanto a la autopercepción periodontal la mayoría es decir el 80.3% no percibió presencia de enfermedad periodontal y el 19.7% sí percibió. En conclusión, existe relación inversa y moderada entre higiene oral y autopercepción periodontal en pobladores adultos del Centro de Salud I-3 de Coata, distrito de Puno, región Puno 2024 (Rho Spearman = -0.520; p- valor 0.000 < 0.05).

The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between oral hygiene and periodontal self-perception among adult residents of the I-3 Health Center in Coata, Puno district, Puno region, in 2024. The methodology was basic, observational, and correlational. The sample consisted of 309 patients. The results on oral hygiene showed that the majority had a poor level (58.6%) and a fair level (41.2%). Regarding periodontal self-perception, the majority (80.3%) did not perceive the presence of periodontal disease, while 19.7% did. In conclusion, there is an inverse and moderate relationship between oral hygiene and periodontal self-perception in adult residents of the I-3 Health Center in Coata, Puno district, Puno region 2024 (Rho Spearman = -0.520; p-value 0.000 < 0.05).
